Voices and Poetry of Ireland: A Collection of Ireland’s Best-Loved Poetry with Recordings by Ireland’s Best-Loved Figures (Book & CD), fue un proyecto del año 2003, cuyos beneficios fueron a parar a Focus Ireland, grupo que tiene como objetivo promover los derechos de las personas sin techo en Irlanda.
Este libro de poemas viene acompañado de 3 discos de audio, donde podemos escuchar los poemas, leídos por políticos, estrellas de cine o artistas irlandeses de conocido renombre. Por supuesto, no podía faltar Bono, que participo en la lectura de “God’s Laughter” de Brendan Kennelly.
También nos encontramos con la participación del manager de U2, Paul McGuinness en “Shapes and Shadows” de Derek Mahon y del amigo de Bono, Gavin Friday, en “From the Ballad of Reading Gaol” de Oscar Wilde.
