A Conspiracy Of Hope Tour fue una serie de 6 conciertos, que tuvieron lugar en Norte América durante 1986. La finalidad de estos conciertos fue recaudar fondos para Amnistía Intencional con motivo de su 25 aniversario.
Jack Healey, director de la división americana de Aministia Internacional, vio tocar a U2 en Agosto de 1985 en el Radio City Music Hall y quedo anonadado al ver la pasión que la banda ponía en el escenario. Healey, consiguió que Paul McGuinness, manager de U2, “cediera” una semana de la banda en 1986. A partir de ahí, otros artistas se unieron al evento benéfico. Junto a U2 participaron como cabeza de cartel los siguientes artistas:
Joan Baez, The Neville Brothers, Lou Reed, Jackson Browne, Peter Gabriel, Bryan Adams, Sting que se volvió a unir en un escenario con The Police.
Bono se unió a The Police para cantar Invisible Sun en varias ocasiones.
El último concierto que tuvo lugar en el Giants Stadium –de East Rutherford, New Jersey fue retransmitido por la MTV.
Un mes después de que se celebrara este tour, el numero de afiliados a Amnistía Internacional en Estados Unidos se incremento en 45.000 personas.
